Types of Cause: Tithes – milk
Tithes of milk were mixed or small/minute tithes as they did not arise directly from the ground, but from creatures nourished by it. Such tithes were normally payable to the vicar or his farmer (see ‘Tithes – modus’ under ‘Subjects’).
